Sunshine State Scholars Program
The
Sunshine State Scholars Program is a partnership of the Florida Education Foundation and the Florida Institute of Education at the University of North Florida. The Sunshine State Scholars Program annually identifies and recognizes outstanding achievement in mathematics and science by Florida's high school seniors. Districts review their graduating seniors' performance in these critical academic areas, and identify District Scholars in the fall of each year. In January, District Scholars compete to become one of the ten Regional Scholars. These Regional Scholars then vie for the title “Statewide Sunshine State Scholar in Mathematics and Science” at competitions held each March in Tallahassee.
