Florida Future Educators of America (FFEA)

Since 1986, the Florida Department of Education has provided assistance to schools in starting and maintaining chapters of Florida Future Educators of America (FFEA), pre-collegiate and collegiate teacher recruitment programs. The program provides a forum for students to become aware of career opportunities in education and nurtures their interest in teaching as a career. The program also provides an avenue for collegiate members to stay informed of the latest issues and advancements in the education profession. The program is administered through local school chapters at all grade levels - elementary through postsecondary. A teacher or faculty advisor is required to provide the leadership for each chapter. FFEA Conference.

Each year, the Department coordinates state conferences for postsecondary chapters and senior high student members and their advisors. The department also provides promotional materials to support the advancement of the FFEA Program.

The state conference provides a wonderful opportunity for chapter members to meet with fellow students, chapter advisors, and new and experienced teachers. The conference also provides an opportunity to hear from outstanding teachers and others working in the field of education as they present a shared vision of excellence in future classrooms. The workshops provide attendees with important information, ideas, and inspiration that will guide you as you work toward becoming a teacher.
