Andrea Tovar is a partner with Corcoran Partners, one of Florida’s top statewide government relations firms. With more than 17 years of marketing, communications and development experience, Andrea oversees matters ranging from legislative and regulatory issues for the firm’s South Florida clients to event planning, social media messaging, campaign fundraising and funding proposal responses. Before joining Corcoran Partners, Andrea oversaw the marketing, communications, special events and business development efforts for the two largest revenue-generating operations at an iconic Miami Beach resort. 

Born and raised in Miami, Andrea has strong roots in South Florida with deep connections to South Florida policymakers at both the state and local levels. As such, Andrea serves as the primary point of contact for the firm’s South Florida non-profit and education-related clients, including Breakthrough Miami, the Global Institute of Sport, The Children’s Trust, Marine Industries Association, Miami-Dade Public Schools, Nova Southeastern University, Nurse Family Partnership, Women of Tomorrow and more.

Andrea lives in Miami with her husband, Jonathan, and their rescue Schnauzer and cat. Her family hails from Colombia where she lived in Bogota from age 8-13. In her free time, Andrea enjoys playing tennis, running, hiking, skiing and is an avid traveler. She is a graduate of the Florida International University and holds a degree in Hospitality Management.
