In addition to his role with the Florida Education Foundation, Christopher is the current Head Coach of Speech and Debate at Oak Hall School in Gainesville, Florida. Chris’ passion is in ensuring access to civics education and debate for all students. He is an alumnus of the Florida Civics and Debate Initiative (FCDI), where he learned public speaking and research skills competing at many tournaments, and he is excited to help other students discover their own path in Speech and Debate with FCDI. Now he is able to give back to the community he learned so much from in his role at FCDI.

As a competitor, Christopher was a semifinalist and finalist at multiple national tournaments such as Harvard and Yale. He finished his high school career in the national final round for congressional debate. Since then, Chris helped pilot the Undergraduate Moot Court program at Florida State University while also holding a leadership role in Mock Trial. He also continued to work and coach competitors – including champions – for multiple prestigious tournaments.

Chris is an alumnus of Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History. He now lives in Gainesville with his dog, Pumpkin.
