Kristin Piccolo serves as the Deputy Director of the Florida Education Foundation. With more than fourteen years’ experience in government and nonprofit work, Kristin dedicates her life to serving others. With a background in pediatric healthcare and education philanthropy, Kristin served a number of organizations advocating for children. Kristin also enjoys a passion for design and utilizing that talent to champion organizations and ideas.  As a Development Officer at Tampa Preparatory School, Kristin was responsible for creating a robust stewardship program from scratch to aid in a multi-million dollar capital campaign as well as revitalizing a dormant Alumni Board. Kristin served as the Stewardship Manager and Special Events Coordinator at Johns’ Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg where she was part of a multi-million dollar capital campaign, supporting the team with strategic stewardship and donor care.

After moving back to Tallahassee in 2016, Kristin joined the Hang Tough Foundation as the Program Manager where she helped the organization build infrastructure in the way of a donor database, project management, policies and procedures, and exponentially expand programs offered to families in the Big Bend. Kristin also brings political acumen to the role having served as Director of Community Outreach for former U.S. Congressman Dennis Ross from Lakeland. 

Last year Kristin joined the Department of Education as the Director of Outreach and Special Projects. Kristin is a graduate of Florida State University with a master’s degree in Political Science. She is married to her husband Fred and they have a new puppy named Eloise.
