Tara Tedrow is a shareholder at Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A. in the Land Use, Zoning & Environmental Group. She brings years of experience handling an array of complex legal matters for multi-billion dollar valued companies and entrepreneurs alike.
With a significant portion of her practice devoted to land use and development, Tara regularly advises clients on entitling projects for commercial, residential, industrial, office and mixed uses. With over 15 years of competitive debate experience, and as one of the nation's top ranked competitive debaters, she is uniquely suited to handle complex and controversial projects and public hearings that present a myriad of political and legal challenges.
Tara is also a practice group chair for regulated industries and handles complex permitting, licensing, operational and regulatory matters for her clients nationwide. She is a gubernatorial appointee to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, a Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services appointee to two regulatory advisory boards, and is an adjunct professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
Tara earned her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and as a decorated Trial Team and educational award winner. Tara also earned her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University, where she was a Presidential Scholar for Achievement in Debate and a Ceruzzi Presidential Scholar. Tara helped to found, and currently is a director of, the Florida Debate Initiative, Inc., a non-profit organization which aims to transform educational opportunities for students statewide by providing access to competitive speech and debate. Tara is a contributing writer at the Orlando Sentinel and has spoken about various real estate topics on Fox National News.
